Lynsey Crantz-Allie, Owner of Allie Archival Consulting

My love of history began at an early age.  This love has only continued and grown over the years, and I am dedicated to channeling my passion into an avenue of help for others.  I have a Bachelors degree in History from Roanoke College and a Masters in Archival Studies from Clayton State University.  I am also certified through the Academy of Certified Archivists, having successfully completed the requisite exam on best practices.

As an archivist, I am passionate about helping preserve history for the future.  When Allie Archival Consulting started, the goal was to help those that have collections but do not know how to fully capture the potential contained within. Awareness of the value of archives will help advocate to maintain these records into the next generation and beyond.  I became fascinated with the idea of preserving history for upcoming generations to help educate the future and to help give them the tools to better understand history and its impact on the future.  It is my hope that through education and proper understanding that future generations will have the ability to make decisions based on a larger vision than just the day-to-day activities that make up our lives.  I feel that the old adage: “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it” definitely has its roots in truth. Hopefully it is through the archival process that will help facilitate a well-educated younger generation that will build a brighter future from the past.

As part of this vision for the future, Allie Archival Consulting strives to help make sense of what can be the overwhelming task of organizing, processing, and making accessible collections of historic material.

I also work in the non-profit museum sector and have knowledge on varying issues, from museum management to exhibit installation to social media marketing.

Let me help you claim your story.
